Do you build decks in Massachusetts and New Hampshire?

Yes. We build custom wood and composite decks for homeowners across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Should I choose composite or wood decking?

Wood offers a traditional appearance and can be refinished. Composite reduces routine surface maintenance. We discuss both choices during the free on-site estimate.

Do you pull permits?

Permit responsibility depends on the project. We review it during the estimate and state the agreed responsibility in the written proposal. The local building department determines the requirements.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. FJ Global LLC holds a Massachusetts contractor license and $1M in liability insurance.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Every project starts with a free on-site visit and a written estimate.

How much does a new deck cost in Massachusetts?

Most decks run about $30 to $75 per square foot installed, depending on size, height and material. We give a free written estimate after a site visit.

How much does an ADU cost in Massachusetts?

New ADUs typically cost about $275 to $450 per square foot to build; garage and basement conversions usually cost less.

Can I build an ADU on my property in Massachusetts?

In most single-family zones, yes. Since February 2, 2025, one ADU up to 900 sq ft (or half the main house) is allowed by right.

Can I build an ADU in New Hampshire?

Yes. Since July 1, 2025, NH towns must allow one attached or detached ADU by right where single-family homes are allowed.

Do I need a permit for a deck?

Almost always. Most MA and NH towns require a building permit and inspections for a new deck.

Composite or pressure-treated wood?

Wood costs less up front; composite costs more but does not rot or need staining, which suits New England winters.

How long does it take to build a deck?

Most residential decks are built in about one to two weeks once the permit is approved, depending on size and weather.
